We are working with a well-known, profitable UK law firm advising them on the recruitment of a partner to head up their employment team.
The firm has benefited from strong financial management and a strategic and well thought-out growth plan over the past 10 years, leading to a prominent position in its core areas of real estate, wealth management and private M&A. With a strong international client base including in the US, Middle East and Asia, the firm is now looking to continue to build on its growing reputation.
The small employment team sits within the firm’s growing corporate practice and is largely employer led as opposed to employee, however there is flexibility to be able to handle both types of work. The current client base includes large institutional real estate companies, funds and small owner managed businesses as well mid-size corporates and entrepreneurs. Whilst most of the current work is non-contentious, in the same way that there is flexibility to act for both employers and employees, there is also interest in bringing someone on board who may have a contentious skillset to add.
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished and collegiate partner to play a key role in developing a leading employment team in addition to building their own practice. As you would expect, the successful individual should be able to demonstrate an ability to build a practice and have clearly defined leadership attributes.
